Jig-So - Cardigan, Wales (CDD)

Jig-So children's centre is a charity that facilitates learning through play whilst offering support and advice on parenting in all areas of development. They offer safe play sessions for children aged 0-14 from different venues across Cardigan, South Ceredigion, West Carmarthenshire and North Pembrokeshire.

Their mission is to provide safe, nurturing and inclusive spaces where children and families can play, learn, connect and thrive. They reduce pressure on parents, strengthen wellbeing, and build community by offering early intervention, emotional support and accessible opportunities that meet families where they are. Through trusted relationships, bilingual practice and a deep understanding of rural life, they help families feel supported, confident and connected.

This mission grows from their long-standing commitment to:

• Quality play opportunities that spark imagination, confidence and joy

• Support for parents and carers, recognising that strong families help children flourish

• Building skills and resilience to alleviate poverty, isolation and the challenges of rural living

• Promoting healthy lifestyles and emotional wellbeing, giving children the best start in life

Together, these foundations shape a mission that is both true to their roots and responsive to the needs of families today — a mission centred on compassion, community and the belief that every child deserves the chance to thrive.

We’re so delighted to add our 3rd partner in Wales to date with a CDD of £4,022 given in July 2026 to Jig-So in support of a new, weekly peer support group at the Cardigan centre for parents of babies and toddlers. A dedicated baby group and with early-years focus has been oft requested but due to lack of funding, this specific cause was never able to be supported. We look forward to sharing with you Jig-So’s feedback on their first year of running this vital program!
