Alice Foundation - Jaranwala, Pakistan (CDD)
Alice was a woman born into a Christian family in Pakistan who served the communities, both Christians and Muslims, here in the UK in Newport and in her birth town Jaranwala, Pakistan. A woman faithful to her roots, she raised funds and sent the resources to ease the poverty of those struggling with welfare, health and education. She tried to support individuals and community projects. In a small village called KAMOANNA, Chak 238, nears Jaranwala, Pakistan, there was a desperate need for a building to serve as a place of education for underprivileged children of all faiths and backgrounds.
The Alice Foundation was created in 2014 with aims to provide not only a building but also an education, a hope and a future for this community, in Alice’s name. They’ve recently celebrated their 10 year anniversary, and with the building now built and repaired (all furniture and many rooms burned in 2023), their main ongoing commitment now is in subsidising the staff and maintenance bills.
We're so delighted to have supported the Alice Foundation with a CDD of £2000 in January of 2026 in support of solar panels to aid in their long term sustainability.
